Job Overview:

As a Handyman at Golden Rule Handyman, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks on residential and commercial properties. You will provide excellent service, build customer trust, and deliver high-quality workmanship on every project, large or small.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance & Repairs: Perform general repairs and maintenance on a variety of systems and components, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, doors, windows, and appliances.

• Carpentry: Install or repair woodwork, including cabinets, shelves, furniture, fences, and other structures.

• Painting & Finishing: Prepare and paint surfaces, repair and touch-up interior/exterior finishes, and assist with drywall patching and repairs.

• Plumbing & Electrical: Handle small plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, installing fixtures, and unclogging drains; assist with basic electrical work like replacing outlets, light switches, and light fixtures (if qualified).

• Tile & Flooring: Install, repair, or replace flooring and tile, including grout work and caulking.

• Assembly & Installation: Assemble furniture, install window treatments, mount televisions, and handle general home improvement tasks.

• Customer Relations: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer advice on repairs or improvements, and ensure complete satisfaction.

• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2 years of experience in general home repair, maintenance, or related trades.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general home repairs.

• Tools: Own a basic set of hand and power tools. Additional specialized tools are a plus.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain work to clients and answer questions effectively.

• Customer Service: A customer-focused attitude, ensuring positive client interactions and satisfaction.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

• Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if travel is required).

• Car: Must have your own truck or SUV.
