Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and inpatient care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the necessary assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred, particularly in settings such as hospitals or clinics.
- Knowledge of care practices related to hospital medicine, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and OR (Operating Room) is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a larger healthcare team.
- Must be reliable, patient, and empathetic towards client needs.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus.
