Golden Seal Enterprises (GSE) seeks a professional unarmed security officer for a high-end HOA Florida Community. The position is full-time with benefits. Hiring for second shift 2pm to 1opm and must be able to work every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Officers must have excellent customer service skills, great verbal and written skills, be well groomed, reliable, and follow GSE company standards of conduct including no use of tobacco products while on duty.
Summary / Objective
Provides professional, discreet, above-average customer-oriented security concierge services with complete confidentiality for a high-end neighborhood and golf course. Duties include complete and thorough access control at the gate house, foot, and vehicular patrols throughout the neighborhood and the overall safety and security of the community, visitors, and vendors. Officers will observe, record, and report activities and incidents and respond to all safety and security related issues. Officers will preserve order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the HOA pertaining to personnel, visitors, vendors, and the community property.
Essential Functions
All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, friendly, polite, and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. Confidentiality is paramount and will be maintained at all times. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives. Duties include but are not limited to the below activities.
- Patrolling on foot and in a security vehicle. Officers will deter negative behavior with their professional presence. They will check for unsafe conditions, hazards, faulty access control systems, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, suspicious behavior, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
- Prepare and maintain shift duty logs or reports as required and document all activity relating to assigned duties; write or type reports and / or enter information in a computer using standard grammar.
- Control access to the HOA and client locations through the designated admittance process according to client and company procedures; act upon any access control violations observed.
- Provide excellent and confidential customer service to the clients, guests, and visitors at all times.
- Monitor entrances and exits; act to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry and in a calm manner, direct persons to leave the property as needed.
- Observe and report incidents, suspicious activity, or safety / security concerns to client representatives, company management, life / safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances.
- Communicate in a manner that is open, honest, and responsive in all situations.
- Monitor remote entrances and sections of the assigned HOA Community using closed circuit television; monitor and access control system to detect unauthorized attempts to gain access to facility by keycard.
- Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; establish a perimeter, and provides direction or information to others.
- Act to ensure that no property is removed from the HOA Community without appropriate authorization and within the HOA and Company policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
- Carry out other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
- Uphold and abide by the GSE Security Officer Standards of Conduct and the Florida Security Officer Code of Ethics.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment that has potential to be fast-paced and will require temporary exposure to outdoor conditions as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printing machines and standard duty equipment such as flashlights, medical supplies, hand-held radios, and cameras. It also requires driving a motor vehicle inside a neighborhood.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to patrol by foot, walk, observe, talk, type and write reports, hear and respond to emergencies. This is largely a physically active role; however, some sedentary work is expected. Must be able to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
