Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Rental Technical Support & Product Specialist to join our team full-time at our San Jose office. This salaried role focuses on technical support, troubleshooting, and product management for Motorola Wave Communication systems and other rental products. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure optimal system performance, efficient issue resolution, and seamless deployment and maintenance of rental communication solutions.
Some travel may be required for onsite event rentals and technical support at client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for rental products, including Motorola Wave systems, ensuring proper configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Resolve customer issues related to Wave radios, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
- Assist in programming and configuring rental radios to meet customer needs.
- Control recurring costs associated with rented products, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient management of rental inventory and resources.
- Support large-scale rental orders, coordinating technical aspects and deployment logistics.
- Work directly with clients to understand their technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with product teams to report issues, gather customer feedback, and recommend improvements.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build a robust knowledge base for internal and customer use.
- Conduct remote diagnostics, on-site visits, and hands-on technical support as needed.
- Train and guide customers and employees on the proper usage and maintenance of Motorola Wave systems and other rental products.
- Assist in managing IT infrastructure within the office, supporting internal technical needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Motorola Wave product updates, features, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards while delivering technical support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical support
- Familiarity with IP-based communication systems, data networks, and radio frequency technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Technical certifications in communication systems or related fields (e.g., Motorola certifications) are a plus.
- A background in IT, electronics, or telecommunications is highly desirable.
