Position Summary:
We are “Golden State Design & Engineering” a small developing full service residential Design & Engineering firm looking to on-board a highly motivated, experienced to become a part of our team and ultimately fill a leading role in managing critical day to day operations as we continue to develop our growing firm.

Since Mid-2020, our team has developed into a reliable design and engineering resource for the local homeowners, developers, and contractors in the Sacramento region and beyond. Completing a total of (100 ) various residential new construction and alteration project. With our experienced and fine-tuned dynamic teamwork, we look to further develop our team, our reach into the industry, our relationships, and to continue providing our clients with industry leading design & engineering services within the residential sector. This a unique opportunity for a talented individual to put their skills to a test and become a vital part of a professional developing firm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in business development projects to improve/innovate new fluid systems and procedures for a more accelerated and enjoyable client service experience.
- Client On-Boarding: Initial consultations, contract prep., on-boarding clients into internal systems, answer phone calls, maintain communication w/ clients, manage company emails, walk clients through design process, set up meetings, follow-ups, document control.
- Project Coordination’s: Manage project cards, manage timelines, schedule meeting, document control, communication, project reviews and submissions.
- 3rd Party Coordination’s: Submit Projects for 3rd party services, follow up on project deadlines, documents control, contract management, assist our 3rd party vendors.
- Permitting: Compile and submit permitting documents to local jurisdictions as incurred, coordinate final permitting conditions, maintain professional relationship and communication with local building/planning municipals on behalf of the firm.
- Accounting: Occasional management of client billings, payroll over view, accounts payable end etc. assist our 3rd party accounting firm as incurred.
- Marketing: Periodic social media post or website updates, assist our 3rd party marketing firm as incurred.
- General: Willingness to assist in misc. office activities such as: managing supplies, events, printing documents, scheduling meeting, attend meeting (take important notes), maintain company calendar, new employee on boarding welcoming clients and other.
- Training and development of business admin team for future succession and expansion.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience: (Age 18 w/ access to automotive transportation)
- General College Degree
- Min. 2-4 years of previous customer service experience (preferred construction, design or engineering experience)
- Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Etc.)
- Adobe Acrobat
- Trello, QuickBooks, Google Products, YouTube
- Effective soft skills (written/verbal)
- Teamwork and team building abilities
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills
- Analytical/Strategic thinking abilities
- High attention to detail
- Ability to Pioneer and innovate in a developing business environment
Pay:
- Hourly: (: $18/hr.) – ( $25)
Schedule:
- Full Time Position: 8hr Shifts /40hr’s a week (part-time position may be considered)
- Monday-Friday (9:00am-5:30pm) PT
- (2) 10-15min breaks included
- 30min lunch break
