Overview
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the demand planning process and scheduling of the Liquid Products, City of Industry GSF Division. The Demand Planning Manager will manage and update the Master Demand Plan based on historical sales, customer input, and other supply signals. The Demand Planning Manager will oversee the scheduling process to ensure the demand plan is properly executed and will assist in the development of the annual demand plan budget. This position requires analytical, leadership, communication and team building skills.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating a rolling 12-month demand forecast by using historical data, customer and sales manager input by SKU
- Creates and updates all the forecast data in the Master Plan as needed to ensure data is up to date and accurate, this includes new/discontinued products
- Manages the execution of replenishment strategy for finished goods not produced on site
- Analyzes forecast data and variances to update Master Plan and continually improve forecast accuracy
- Oversees Planner/Schedulers in the development and accuracy of the Weekly Schedule for Liquid Products
- Ensures the Master Plan is being executed along with fill rate and inventory measure goals
- Monitors finished goods and raw materials to reduce excess inventory and reduce shortages
- Generates various inventory reports shared across several cross-functional team
- Maintains clear communication with Sales, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Operations, and Procurement to ensure the organization has a solid plan to execute
- Ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner and escalates to Directory of Supply Chain in a timely manner
- Review and recommend improvements, including ERP system changes, to improve planning processes
- Provides periodically updated inventory reports by customer and identifies any and all risk by sku
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain
Experience:
5 to 10 years of relevant work and/or supervisory experience in Planning, Scheduling and Logistics in a manufacturing environment.
