Service Foreman

Pay Range $30 - $50 Bonus

THIS POSITION IS FOR A CURRENT FOREMAN WITH 3 YEARS OF HEAVY TRUCK DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE.

OR

 A CURRENT HEAVY TRUCK DEALERSHIP TECH WITH 5 YEARS OF HIGH LEVEL WORK EXPERIENCE, WANTING TO LEARN THE FOREMAN POSITION.

As a Service Foreman for a truck dealership, your role is critical in overseeing the maintenance and repair operations, ensuring high-quality service, and managing a team of technicians. As a Service Foreman for a truck dealership, your role is instrumental in maintaining the reputation and profitability of the service department. By effectively managing your team, providing exceptional customer service, and staying abreast of industry developments, you can contribute to the success of the dealership and the satisfaction of its customers.

 

1. Job Responsibilities:

   - Supervision: Lead a team of technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance.

   - Workflow Management: Coordinate service schedules, prioritize work orders, and optimize the efficiency of the service department.

   - Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.

   - Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their service needs, provide estimates, and address any concerns or complaints.

   - Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to technicians, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they stay updated on the latest technologies and service procedures.

 

2. Skills Required:

   - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of truck systems, engines, transmissions, and other components, along with proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.

   - Leadership Abilities: Effective leadership skills to motivate and manage a team of technicians, delegating tasks and resolving conflicts as needed.

   - Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, service advisors, parts department, and upper management, conveying technical information clearly and professionally.

   - Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

   - Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage service schedules, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

   - Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience.
