ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs electronic drafting for capital projects using Autodesk Civil 3D based on verbal instructions or sketches provided by Engineers. Projects include, but are not limited to, water supply, distribution pipelines, wells, booster pump stations, treatment, and reservoir projects
* Assists in ensuring that all plans are prepared in accordance with Specifications, Special Provisions, Standard Drawings, Drafting Standards and Approved Material List
* Assists Engineers in preparing professional exhibits to be used at public meetings
* Assists Engineers in preparing exhibits and compiling information for capital budgets, project status reports and project schedules
* Prepares record drawings from as-built plans of completed projects
* Updates system maps using GIS or CAD based on as-built drawings
* Performs existing utility research and collects information required to prepare construction plans
* Works under general supervision
* Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Associate of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology preferred
* Two years of CAD experience in general civil design or in public utilities design required
* Experience in the design of water distribution, storage and supply facilities is highly desirable
* Effective typing, written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to read water system maps and engineering plans required
* AutoCAD certification(s) preferred
* Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, GIS and Bluebeam applications preferred
May include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, sitting, typing, walking, reading, writing, color determination, speaking and listening for extended periods of time.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws.Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
