Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team at Golden State Water Company. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and efficient operation of our enterprise computer infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy best practices for new technologies and implementations as well as knowledge transfer and mentoring to other team members.
- Physical installation (racking and stacking), and configuration of server, storage and backup hardware to meet performance requirements.
- Group and user management, group policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Additionally, you will conduct capacity planning, identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or at least 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- Five to ten years hands-on experience as an administrator or engineer in current Windows Server system environments.
- Hands-on experience in implementation and administration of VMware server and network virtualization technologies.
- Hands-on experience in implementation and administration of storage solution technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with monitoring solutions.
- Experience with enterprise server administrative tools.
- Experience with cybersecurity compliance, solutions and tools.
- Familiarity with formal system deliverables.
