Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Escrow Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the escrow process from start to finish, ensuring all transactions are executed smoothly and in compliance with applicable regulations. This role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding title real estate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring all documents are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders throughout the closing process.
- Prepare and review closing documents, including settlement statements and disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with TILA regulations and FNMA guidelines during the transaction process.
- Handle loan processing tasks as needed, including working closely with loan officers.
- Maintain accurate records of all escrow transactions and communications.
- Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to closing costs and disbursements.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role within the financial services or mortgage servicing industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of loan processing, escrow procedures, and real estate transactions.
- Proficient in basic math skills to ensure accuracy in financial calculations.
- Familiarity with TILA regulations and FNMA guidelines is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail is critical in ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the escrow process.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
