Golden Valley Electric Association: Our Mission

GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,292 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 40 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks. What would you do as a Member Services Representative I (Credit)

As a Member Services Representative I (Credit) at Golden Valley Electric Association, you will provide exceptional customer service support to our members, acting as their primary and ongoing point of contact for credit processes and payment arrangement options. Are you the Member Services Representative I (Credit) we're looking for?

To be successful as a Member Services Representative I (Credit) at Golden Valley Electric Association, a combination of essential skills and experience is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with a valid driver's license. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in a direct customer service role within the service industry, as this will enhance your ability to effectively address member needs and concerns. Additionally, a minimum of one year of cash handling experience is vital for managing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are crucial, enabling you to educate members and build trust while navigating high-stress situations. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
