What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Specialist position at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare?
The Patient Access Specialist registers patients consistent with GVMH processes, accurately schedules patients for all therapy services, communicates written and verbally both in person and via phone/email/software with patients, providers and other staff, and obtains, verifies and communicates health insurance coverage, benefits and authorizations. May also be responsible for collecting co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance from patients. This position serves as a key support role in the Therapy Services department, helping to facilitate a seamless delivery of care and excellent patient care experience. This individual is ultimately responsible for all nonclinical aspects of Therapy Services' patient experience and delivery of care. Primary location will be Clinton outpatient Therapy, with the potential to occasionally support Therapy clinics in Osceola, Warsaw, and Windsor.
