Job Description:
This job will consist of performing x-rays, using the PACS and EMR systems. The position will include bone mineral density and digital mammography modalities. Duties also require phlebotomy skills, which consist of collecting and processing tests from several different types of specimens, verifying the accuracy of and reporting test results. Performs quality control procedures, including opening and closing process for lab and x-ray when required; understands and documents quality assurance and preventative maintenance; operates x-ray equipment using proper techniques and settings along with safety. There are appropriate orders for all supplies needed and many other tasks that will be necessary to serve our patients efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:
Performs technical procedures as prescribed by ALARA concepts to provide gonadal shielding, restriction of primary beam
Wears personal radiation monitoring devices at all times on duty
Follows established protocols and procedures Performs job duties within legal and professional regulations and guidelines
Two patient identifiers, prepares patient for x-ray, explains procedure, transfers patient to table, positions patient
Schedules exams
Promotes a team environment
Communicates with other staff effectively
Follows the Behaviors of Excellence standards
Performs phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks and heel sticks
Education/Credentials:
Associate’s degree-Required
High school diploma or GED-Required
ARRT certification- Required
Experience: 1-3 years’ experience
License & Certifications: Registered X-ray Tech, BLS (or obtain within 30 days of hire)-Required
Starting Range: $24.51-$30.63
