Golden Vertex Corp is a mining company based in Bullhead City, AZ, specializing in gold extraction. Golden Vertex was recently acquired by new ownership and is under new management. The Company operates the Moss Mine located in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, approximately a one hour and a half drive south of Las Vegas, Nevada. Golden Vertex Corp is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of Fire Assay for our Moss Mine project.

Job Summary:

Essential Job Duties:

· Completing Fire Assay on soil, precipitate, slag samples

· Completing bullion assays to settlement level quality

· Perform basic maintenance on furnaces, balances and AAS

· Mix basic fire assay flux formulas and reagent solutions

· Housekeeping duties include stocking, area cleanup, and common courtesy crucibles, cupels, and other consumables

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

· Meticulous attention to order and record sheets

· Ability to maintain organized flow in fire assay

· Ability to work independently and adjust to changing priorities

Education and /or Experience:

• High School Diploma Required
• Secondary education in sciences preferred

Language Skills:

• Effectively communicates using verbal and written applications

Criteria/Conditions:

• While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and potentially work on elevated platforms.
• May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing this position. The work is an outdoor mine setting which requires hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required by law
• Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
• Golden Vertex is a drug/alcohol free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per all applicable laws
• This work is in a mine and plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
