Dishwasher/Busser Job Description
Duties:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
- Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Help with other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, catering, or food industry is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper sanitation procedures
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and provide customer service to guests
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
