Job Description:
The Logistics Specialist at Golden Waffles is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of products from our manufacturing facility to various warehouses for distribution. This role requires a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport products from the manufacturing facility to designated warehouses.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as provided by the Logistics Manager, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other essential functions. Report any issues or needed repairs to the Safety & Transportation Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, receipts, and any discrepancies encountered. Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Ensure all required licenses and certifications are up to date.
