The role of Assembly Worker plays a crucial part in ensuring that each waffle iron meets the company's standards for quality and safety. As an essential team member, you will be responsible for assembling various parts according to detailed specifications and blueprints, inspecting parts and assembled products, and using hand tools and power tools to assemble parts safely and efficiently.
**Job Summary**
This position requires strong manual dexterity, ability to follow detailed instructions and blueprints, and basic math skills for measuring and assembling parts. You will work closely with other assembly workers, supervisors, and quality control inspectors to ensure a smooth and efficient assembly process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble waffle iron components according to detailed specifications and blueprints, ensuring all parts fit correctly and securely.
- Inspect parts and assembled products to identify any defects or issues, ensuring that each waffle iron meets the company's quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of the assembly process, including quantities produced, any defects found, and actions taken to resolve issues.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Work closely with other assembly workers, supervisors, and quality control inspectors to ensure a smooth and efficient assembly process.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to bend, lift (up to 60 lbs.), climb, stretch, reach, and walk throughout the day.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely with training.
- Ability to use a computer to track inventory.
