The Assembly position at Golden Waffles plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by assembling various parts to build high-quality waffle irons.
This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and blueprints.
The Assembly Worker is responsible for ensuring that each waffle iron meets the company’s standards for quality and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble waffle iron components according to detailed specifications and blueprints, ensuring all parts fit correctly and securely.
- Inspect parts and assembled products to identify any defects or issues, ensuring that each waffle iron meets the company’s quality standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble parts. Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
- Maintain accurate records of the assembly process, including quantities produced, any defects found, and actions taken to resolve issues.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Work closely with other assembly workers, supervisors, and quality control inspectors to ensure a smooth and efficient assembly process.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Keep the assembly area clean and organized, ensuring all materials and tools are stored properly.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to bend, lift (up to 60 lbs.), climb, stretch, reach, and walk throughout the day.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely with training.
- Ability to use a computer to track inventory.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and blueprints.
- Basic math skills for measuring and assembling parts.
