Doggie Daycare Lead Tech

Job Overview

We are looking for someone with experience in doggie daycare that can organize Group Play and guide the daycare techs on how to respond to the dogs in groups.

Duties

• Supervise and monitor playgroups with the dogs.
• Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent any conflicts or aggression.
• Daily care of feeding and medicating dogs, cats, and small animals.
• Daily cleaning of dog rooms- to provide exceptional cleaning standards.
• Provide basic grooming for dogs - baths, nail trims, and ear cleanings.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being at check-in & check-out.
• Understanding the basics of our software, Gingr, to complete check-ins & check-outs and communicate all concerns to the staff about the pet and/or owner.
• Lead a team of techs and give vision for the day.

Experience

• Previous doggie daycare experience is a MUST.
• Ability to understand the different temperaments of dog breeds.
• Physical stamina to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels.
• Previous experience in basic grooming for dogs.
• Any previous experience in the veterinary field is a PLUS!
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Leading a team of techs and demonstrating servant leadership.

Pay/Tips

• Once you’ve completed the Kennel Tech training program (which typically takes 3-5 weeks), you will be a part of the tip pool. Tips on a weekly basis average an extra $3-$5/hr for every employee. Taking your pay to $21-$23/hr. (Start pay depends on previous experience.)

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
