Pet Groomer

Job Summary

Ready to get out of the Corporate world? Want to go on your own but supported by a business? We are looking for an experienced, passionate Pet Groomer to join our Golden Wood team!

Here at Golden Wood, we have a boarding clientele that is looking for a groomer! One to provide an exceptional experience for every dog and pet owner.

Duties

• Provide exceptional breed cuts/shaves.
• Ability to provide all grooming add-ons: anal glands, de-matting, de-shedding, teeth cleaning, etc.
• Do the check-ins and check-outs with the pet owner for each groom.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
• Understand our software, Gingr, to notate grooming actions taken for the pet and any communication with the pet owners.
• Keeping pet safety in mind while performing the grooms.
• Maintaining a clean environment - cleaning up to the Golden Wood standard at the end of your shift.

Experience

• Ability to groom any dog breed type.
• Experience with cat and small animal grooming is a PLUS (but not required).
• Ability to understand the different temperaments of dog breeds.
• Physical stamina to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively by creating a good rapport with the pet owners.

Supplies Provided

• A grooming room designated for you, as the groomer for Golden Wood.
• Golden Wood will provide all basic grooming supplies needed (ex: regular & special shampoos, nail clippers, ear cleaner, cage dryers, forced air blowers, cologne, nail clippers, etc.)
• Groomers provide their own clippers and shavers.

Pay/Tips/Hours

• For all experienced groomers, you get 50% commission on all grooming services you provide. Plus 100% of the tips each clientele gives you.
• You're able to select the days of the week you groom on a regular basis. We ultimately are looking for a full time groomer that is able to do 4-5 days a week. (We are open to a part-time position as well.)
