Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record patient health information and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical exercises to promote independence.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting such as a teaching hospital or Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Familiarity with inpatient care, clinic environments, and medical-surgical practices is beneficial.
- Knowledge of geriatrics and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) protocols is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
