Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various medical settings, including emergency medicine, inpatient care, and trauma centers. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of clients while promoting their independence and quality of life.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication schedules, and any changes in the client's condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's mental well-being.
- Help with mobility and transfers to ensure safety when moving around the home.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding the client’s health status and needs.
- Follow care plans developed by medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices related to home care.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required upon hiring; training will be provided.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between client homes.
