Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and contractors to design custom cabinetry solutions for spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, an understanding of cabinetry construction, and excellent customer service skills to deliver designs that meet both aesthetic and functional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Collaboration:
- Meet with clients to discuss their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Provide expert guidance on cabinetry styles, materials, finishes, and hardware options.
- Design Development:
- Create detailed and accurate cabinet designs
- Generate 2D and 3D renderings to present design concepts to clients.
- Revise designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with contractors, and other design professionals to ensure alignment with overall project goals.
- Work closely with production and installation teams to ensure designs are executed accurately.
- Material and Cost Management:
- Source and select appropriate materials and finishes that align with the client’s vision and budget.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and ensure designs stay within budgetary constraints.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of design specifications, project timelines, and client communications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cabinetry design or related field.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and installation processes.
- Excellent visualization, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with woodworking or cabinet manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ergonomic and functional design principles for kitchens, bathrooms, or custom cabinetry.
