CNC Maintenance Technician

GFMCO, LLC – Columbus, GA 31902

GFMCO, LLC has an immediate opportunity for a CNC Maintenance Technician to join our growing and well established company. The successful candidate will be a major contributor to our product integrity and the GFMCO Quality reputation.

Duties: Repair and maintain machine tools and install new machines. Duties include installation, maintenance, and mechanical repair of production equipment and production facility. Performs advanced troubleshooting on equipment/facility and helps schedule any outside support that may be needed. Reports directly to the Maintenance Superintendent but works closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Processing Manager to ensure facilities and equipment can be relied upon to meet production goals. Must be able to work with all individuals within their department and be able to train less experienced team members. Needs to have the sense of urgency and realize that production is the Facilities department’s customer.

Education: High School Diploma

Skills: Ability to trouble shoot and repair include mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machining, welding and electrical maintenance.

Experience: Two (2) years of technical training and 5 years of related work experience, or equivalent.

Personal Qualities: Well organized, industrious, hardworking, and team player that leads by example.

Preferences: Diversified in electrical and mechanical repair. Strong ability to work as part of a maintenance team.

Accountability: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of machines and tools. Will provide training to less experienced maintenance staff.

Physical Demands: Some heavy lifting - no more than 50 lbs. w/o mechanical assistance. Frequent bending, stooping, and twisting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

  • Columbus, GA 31902: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • CNC Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
