About the Position
The Contract Administrator manages all the construction project contracts and related duties and services.
(This is not a procurement position).
Position Responsibilities
• Principles of insurance and Surety bonds, procedures, and governing regulations of construction
contract services.
• Principles, procedures, operations, services and activities of contract administration and
compliance.
• Billing, schedule of values and forecasting activities.
• Familiarity of federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations including regulations concerning
State and Federal prevailing wage projects.
• Prepare clear and concise reports, job specific safety plans and O&M documentation.
• Establish agreement monitoring systems.
• Negotiate subcontractor agreements.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
including contractors and vendors.
• Assist the Project Manager’s with all administrative duties as they relate to the commercial
construction department.
• Ensures that contract related documents, (i.e., subcontract, certificate of insurance, releases,
closeout documents,) are completed and returned to the general contractor in a timely manner.
• Review of all contracts, change orders and releases, working closely with the project managers on
any necessary changes.
• Ensure that contract documents on new and ongoing projects are properly signed, copied, and sent
to the contractor in a timely manner.
• Complete annual Pre-Qualification requests.
• Create SSSP and Stored Materials Back up using Template.
Qualifications
• 5 years' experience in Contracts Administration is required.
• Construction Industry experience preferred.
• Strong skills in document review, legal drafting, and contract negotiation are essential.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Salesforce (Sales Cloud) and Bluebeam/Adobe.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
