Job Title: Aquatic Manager
Reports to: General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary: Works with the General Manager to oversee the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School. This encompasses all daily operations including safety, pool operations, swim lesson quality, customer service, and workplace employee activities amongst other duties.
Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:
- Helps the General Manager fulfill all daily tasks.
- Oversees staff scheduling.
- Help manage the wet side staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction.
- Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students of GSS.
- Interacts with all wet side staff on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, employee performance and training.
- Manage the building facility Including the mechanical room and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
- Development of wet side staff.
- Ensures the highest level of swim lesson quality.
- Directs, trains, maintains and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility and EAP.
- Trains and manages all lifeguards and their certifications.
- Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally within the aquatics field.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED is required. College degree is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, swimmer, swim coach, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Certified Pool Operator and Lifeguard Instructor certifications preferred. Both certifications will be provided if not currently certified.
Work Environment:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
Salary : $24 - $30
