Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
- Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
- Evaluates students’ progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner
- Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students’ swim skills
- Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
- Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons, including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines
- Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
Job Requirements and Skills:

- Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is a plus!
- Must pass background examinations (included with training).
- Ability to work with children
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must pass background examinations (included with training)
- Instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider a plus
- High School Diploma/GED required, Some College preferred
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are obtainable by employees in the future, and are rewarded with additional compensation upon completion
- For those not certified, Goldfish Swim School provides training at no cost to the employee while they undergo their paid training
- Certification courses in our facility, which all employees are required to complete within 3 months of employment.
