Job Description
We are now hiring part-time instructors with leadership opportunities available within your first 3-6 months. Join as an instructor and explore the numerous opportunities that come with this role, even if it's an after-school or second job. As a teaching and swimming professional, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation
- Provide feedback and guidance to students and parents
- Maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment
Requirements
- You must be able to swim; everyone on our team is lifeguard, CPR & AED certified. You'll go through our in-house lifeguard certification program as part of your training and you must pass a basic swim test (50 yards) to complete the course.
- Must be able to commit to missing no more than one class every 6 weeks (80-90% attendance) for each day you work.
- You will find and prepare your own substitute teacher when you aren't able to teach yourself, leaving notes so that your substitute can be as effective as you are.
- Ability to be in the water for 4 hours at a time; this is an in-water position in a chlorinated pool and can be difficult for individuals with sensitive skin without proper pre and post shift care.
