Position Summary: The Delivery Driver will primarily be responsible for delivering cannabis products to patients and customers. Delivery Drivers are responsible for ensuring each product is delivered safely and compliantly to each of our patients and customers with exceptional service. This role will be charged with providing a positive and friendly experience for all GOLDFLOWER patients/customers and working collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to achieve operational excellence in our delivery program.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following, and other related duties as assigned.
- Possess a positive attitude while interacting with customers and patients.
- Load and unload product into company vehicles according to company's specifications.
- Ensure timely delivery of products according to schedule using predetermined routes.
- Carefully review orders prior to delivery.
- Collect payments from customers and patients, and follow company protocols for counting out, storing, and transporting currency.
- Build rapport with regular patients/customers to promote repeat business.
- Understand and follow all rules and regulations set forth by the state of Florida for delivery of medical cannabis.
- Transport deliveries safely and securely according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate inventory, transport and distribution records
- Operate company vehicle safely and within all state and local guidelines.
- Ensure load is properly secured before moving the vehicle.
- Communicate any security or safety concerns to the Compliance and HR teams as needed.
- Assist other teams when not on scheduled routes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Follow proper dispensing methods implemented by the Department of Health and Company SOP’s.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and some holidays.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Required Education/Experience:
- Must be 25 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a clean driving record, and be able to pass motor vehicle history report and background check per state cannabis regulations.
- Experience with office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
- 2 years of Retail or Customer Service experience required.
- Prior delivery or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience in legal cannabis is a plus.
