Overview

This position will report to a Principal and require collaboration with the current Marketing Coordinator consultant. This position plays a key role in establishing processes and procedures as it relates to all marketing and business development efforts. This includes helping implement marketing strategies, managing social media and digital marketing efforts, and helping create materials to support business growth.

 

Essential Functions

  • Develop and document our overall business development strategy.

-Coordinate with principals and senior staff to analyze existing outreach approach.

-Devise a long-term tracking method to ensure follow-through on consistent client outreach and an actionable strategy for growth of primary client sectors.

-Track organization memberships and attend events to scout for potential networking opportunities.

  • Assist with tracking, creating, and updating marketing materials including project pages, brochures, writeups, award lists, and other frequently used informative/promotional outreach.
  • Assist with responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). This may include tailoring firm profiles, staff resumes, organizational charts, approach write-ups, cover pages, and filling out required forms and paperwork for submissions.
  • Populate database with information as required to track projects and proposals (i.e. submission dates, start and end dates, project team, client information, project category, project staff, and other available details).
  • Foster greater online presence via LinkedIn and website and/or additional social media.
  • Attend meetings with PR consultant as needed.
  • Provide general administrative marketing support.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a similar field.
  • 3 years of experience in a professional office setting. Experience at an architectural or engineering firm is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and external stakeholders. 
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to envision or problem solve to increase efficiency of data-keeping and information flow (i.e., aid in consolidating and organizing project/client information and ensuring procedures are set in place to keep tracking up-to-date).
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate marketing efforts.
  • Creative and innovative to develop unique and effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.


Required Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite / Outlook, specifically Excel
  • Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam


Preferred But Not Mandatory

  • Fluency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and interest/skill in design for refreshing appearance of marketing materials
  • Basic knowledge of Deltek, Salesforce or other database system
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

 

Work Hours

  • Our office is generally open for business Monday through Friday, from approximately 8:15 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. Staff is generally expected to arrive by 9:00 a.m. and put in an 8-hour workday (with :45 unpaid for lunch). Minimum 3 days a week in office. Occasional overtime as required.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to offsite events in the city, which may be outside normal work hours.

Salary : $75,000 - $150,000
