The Capital Solution Group within the Global Banking and Markets division is looking for a Vice President to join the Structured Finance Insurance team in New York.

The Structured Finance business focuses on providing capital solutions for clients including originating and executing a variety of asset-backed and insurance linked transactions on behalf of clients and for Goldman Sachs; advising clients on funding, regulatory capital and balance sheet solutions; sourcing, executing, and managing financing facilities and term loans as well as principal whole loan transactions across a variety of asset classes and industries.

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.

The Structured Finance business focuses on providing capital solutions for clients including originating and executing a variety of asset-backed and insurance linked transactions on behalf of clients and for Goldman Sachs; advising clients on funding, regulatory capital and balance sheet solutions; sourcing, executing, and managing financing facilities and term loans as well as principal whole loan transactions across a variety of asset classes and industries.
Scope of Role
- Origination: Source securitization, financing, advisory and principal opportunities with new and existing clients in partnership with corporate coverage teams as well as with investor sales
- Structure: Structure ILS transactions including catastrophe bonds, sidecars, ILWs and other insurance and reinsurance transactions, along with premium finance securitizations, working with issuer clients, third-party modeling firms, legal counsel, rating agencies, and other transaction parties
- Documentation: Prepare and / or review offering materials including term sheets and investor presentations, along with operative legal documents including indentures, credit agreements, offering memorandums, reinsurance agreements, etc.
- Communication: Interact effectively with internal (e.g., sales and trading, legal, compliance, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g., issuers, investors, legal counsel, rating agencies, accountants, trustees, etc.) throughout transaction processes
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Physics or Actuarial Science is preferred plus 7 years of experience in Insurance Linked Securities
- Must have ILS experience and demonstrated knowledge of insurance, reinsurance and fixed income markets
- Must have demonstrated financial modeling skills to understand and develop deal structures
- Must have experience evaluating and structuring insurance linked securities and related securitizations including familiarity with transaction documentation and risk modeling
- Must have demonstrated ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
- Must be ready to assume a high level of responsibility and comfortable communicating with senior issuer clients (e.g., treasurers, CFOs, CROs) and investors
- Enthusiastic and proactive team player that will drive transactions and projects
