GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The New Business Lead is responsible for overseeing the New Business department operates effectively and efficiently. The Lead is responsible for handling any problems that arise and maintaining an open line of communication with all other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversees all processes and staff members in the New Business departments which includes: interviewing, hiring, coaching, training, as well as directing work. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
2. Directs workload assignments to ensure most efficient use of resources to make sure department deadlines and quality expectations are met. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
3. Review and monitor the Daily/Monthly processes tracking data. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
4. Develop measurable goals and reviews data to effectively lead new business team. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
5. Manage escalated calls. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
6. Collect and analyze new business statistics. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
7. Evaluate performance with key metrics (accuracy, accounts opened, etc.). This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
8. Establishes work procedures and processes that support the department. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
9. Ensures processes and workflow's are consistent, exceptional service levels are maintained, and accurate and timely information is available to ensure optimal achievement of organizational objectives and goals. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
10. Serves as a liaison when working with other departments and provides assistance to ensure quality and timely customer experience. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
11. Conducts research and aid in solving problems. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
12. Approves transaction corrections and refunds. This duty is performed as needed.
13. Provides back-up within the department. This duty is performed as needed.
14. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
15. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
16. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
