GoldStar - Vascular Access RN (VAT)

GoldStar Vascular Access, Inc. is looking for a passionate, reliable, experienced Vascular Access Specialist to join our team, in providing high-quality evidence based patient care in insertion of peripherally inserted central lines, midlines, and ultrasound-guided IVs. As a Vascular Access Specialist, you will work with patients in various inpatient facilities as well as outpatient home settings.

The Vascular Access-PICC RN

• Inserts, maintains and troubleshoots various types of vascular access devices (VADs) including, peripherally-inserted central venous catheters (PICCs), midlines, and peripheral IV (PIV) catheters.
• Is proficient in the use of ultrasound-guided vascular access and catheter tip navigation and confirmation technology. Provides care, maintenance and troubleshooting for all types of peripheral devices (e.g., PIVs and midlines) and central vascular access devices (CVADs), including acute non-tunneled central venous catheters (CVCs), long-term tunneled CVCs and implantable ports.
• Acts as a resource and consultant to medical and nursing staff with regard to appropriate vascular access device selection, appropriate VAD care and maintenance, troubleshooting and infusion therapy.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide proficiency in vascular access care appropriate to the patient population ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric age groups experiencing medically complex conditions.

In this role, you will visit patients in the Portland Metro and SW Washington Clark county and surrounding areas, covering an approximate 60-mile radius. You will be paid for patient time and drive time.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current license in Oregon and Washington.
• Minimum one year nursing experience
• Current or recent Vascular Access Specialist experience
• Have and maintain current CPR certification
• Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years nursing experience
• At least one (1) year vascular access specialty experience
• At least one (1) year infusion experience
• Home healthcare experience preferred
• CRNI certification (optional)

Education
RN Diploma, Associates or B.S. degree in nursing
