Goldwings Supply Service, Inc. (GSSI) is seeking a Field Service Representative 1 for our Transportation Department. Entry-level candidates who are eager to advance their careers in traffic systems engineering, with additional training and support in a project-driven environment, are encouraged to apply. Work will be conducted under the guidance of GSSI team leads, involving a variety of system implementations, technical analyses, and report documentation tasks.
The Field Service Representative 1 will primarily assist with ongoing projects and clients, in alignment with GSSI’s strategic plan and corporate culture. This position will help with the deployment and maintenance of products and systems. GSSI has a proven track record in custom product development, designing technical processes, systems innovation, and adaptive solutions for government entities. The position is expected to interact with engineers, technicians, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Assist in project execution, task management, contract deliverables, and fieldwork.
- Deploy and maintain Smart City infrastructure, including Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), artificial intelligence and related technologies.
- Work with GSSI transportation solutions, including products from Applied Information, Carmanah, Econolite, Polara, and Rekor.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems.
- Participate in workshops, presentations, product demonstrations, and industry events across various GSSI verticals (Aviation, Pavement Preservation, Solar Outdoor Lighting, and Renewables).
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in transportation engineering.
- Travel to project sites as needed to ensure proper installation, testing, and maintenance of systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op experience in a related field preferred).
- Proficient in common software applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams 365, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and comfortable working in a digital workspace.
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Work Environment:
This job combines in-office work with fieldwork at on-site project locations, including off-island travel as needed. Fieldwork may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and active work zones, requiring extended periods of standing, walking on uneven terrain, and direct interaction with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders. Depending on site conditions, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety vests, helmets, and gloves may be necessary. In-office responsibilities involve the routine use of standard office equipment, including laptops and company-provided mobile devices. GSSI operates in a fully digital workspace, requiring proficiency with digital collaboration tools and platforms. This position is based at the GSSI Alahao office, with travel expectations determined by project requirements.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. HST.
Travel:
- Inter-island travel may be scheduled.
- Manufacturer training in the Continental U.S. may be offered.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- All employees must sign a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement due to the sensitive nature of the specialty services we provide.
- Must attend GSSI sponsored training as deemed critical and/or essential to GSSI operations.
