We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Event Sales Coordinator to join our team and drive the outgoing revenue generation to bring incremental event sales.
Position Summary:
The Event Sales Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events at our facility, including private parties, corporate gatherings, and promotional events. The position will require the qualified candidate to book and manage all inbound online and in person event leads for the Hartford market while generating event revenue in all other CT markets.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of delivering seamless events that exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate events from conception to completion
- Utilize Hubspot CRM to manage leads, communicate with prospects, and develop relationships with key decision makers. Leverage LinkedIn, Chamber of commerce memberships, and email marketing to target and generate new opportunities
- Work with clients to determine event goals, budgets, and logistics. Communicate consistently with management and hospitality staff guest expectations
- Manage event calendar and schedule in coordination with operations and management teams
- Execute full sales process including lead generation, nurturing, objection handling, closing and follow up and referral generation
- Coordinate all aspects of upsell with vendors, staff, and internal teams (e.g. kitchen/bar staff, golf pros)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events
- Monitor event performance and customer satisfaction; gather feedback post-event
- Assist in marketing efforts for events including flyers, email campaigns, and social media promotions
- Develop creative ideas to enhance the overall event experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning or hospitality preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Persistent follow up and ability to influence prospective leads
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with indoor golf/sports entertainment is a plus
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Adaptive to changes in technology and knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Previous experience working in quota based sales environment
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to all CT locations
- Travel required 40% of work week
