What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior UI/UX Designer/ Contract position at Golfzon America?

This is a 6-month contract role for our Chantilly, VA office.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for golf simulator software.
Translate user requirements and research into tangible design concepts to bring a product concept to life quickly via persona creation, journey mapping, storyboarding, and other user-centered design thinking methods.
Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define user requirements and translate them into design solutions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that align with product goals and user needs.
Plan and facilitate ideation workshops, conduct usability testing, and analyze user feedback to refine and optimize designs.
Ensure design consistency across products and platforms by maintaining and enforcing design standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Design, Computer Science, or a relevant field.

Minimum of 7 years of work experience as a UI / UX Designer, preferably in the game industry.

In-depth knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and others.

Avid golfer or in-depth knowledge of the golf industry is strongly preferred.

Preferred understanding of cultural differences between Asian and North American markets and the ability to design with these differences in mind.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with stakeholders.
