The BIM Technician will be responsible for the coordination and detailing of 3D electrical systems using AutoCAD, Trimble, Navisworks, and Revit software. This role supports prefabrication and installation processes by creating detailed plans and collaborating closely with project teams and other trades.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and detail 3D electrical systems with other trades and installations using AutoCAD, Trimble, Navisworks, and Revit.
- Develop, plot, and distribute 2D prefabrication and installation drawings.
- Perform site layout tasks using a Trimble Robotic Total Station for accurate installation.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure project accuracy.
- Perform tasks on the project site and collaborate with the Project and Design Teams.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in usage of computer aided design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks or equivalent education/training.
- Electrical Detailing and Modeling experience.
- Strong communication (oral/written) and detailed organizational skills.
- Electrical Field experience is highly desired.
- Data Center or Heavy Commercial experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and apply job-related concepts, technologies, instructions, procedures, computer, and software operations.
- Ability to input data, and create/annotate drawings with a very high degree of accuracy consistently including high throughput with minimum supervision.
