The Electrical BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, modifying, and managing electrical building information models (BIM) that accurately represent electrical systems within construction projects. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the electrical designs align with overall project objectives and BIM standards. Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain 3D models of electrical systems, including lighting, power, cabling, and fire alarms, using software like Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks.
- Ensure models comply with project-specific BIM execution plans and standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams to avoid clashes through coordination and clash detection.
- Generate electrical shop drawings, schematics, and as-built documentation from BIM models.
- Produce layout drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment schedules.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to national and international codes and regulations.
- Use BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks or Solibri) to detect and resolve clashes between disciplines.
- Propose solutions for design conflicts and collaborate with relevant teams to implement them.
- Maintain accurate and updated information within BIM models, including families and parameters specific to electrical components.
- Support project managers in tracking progress through BIM models for project planning.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, tools, and workflows.
