Department Overview
The Golub Capital Insurance Solutions Team (“GCIS”) is a component of the Investor Partners Group (“IPG”) and plays a pivotal role in leveraging the Firm's investment management expertise to insurance clients and, in turn, helping those firms meet long-term policyholder obligations and drive shareholder value. GCIS partners closely with insurers to offer tailored and diversified direct lending and capital solutions to meet their unique needs. GCIS partners with insurance companies in a number of ways, including via separately managed accounts, fund investments, rated vehicles, sidecar investment with asset management offerings and select minority stake investments. GCIS collaborates closely with other departments within IPG to execute fundraising and investor service plans in line with Firm objectives.
Position Responsibilities
This individual will support the GCIS team’s fundraising and relationship management efforts with a focus on Insurance and Separately Managed Account (“SMA”) Solutions, as well as engage in various research and other insurance related project work in support of the broader GCIS team.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supporting new business development opportunities through the prospective client due diligence process; coordinating information requests and investor meetings through the client decision-making process
- Updating relationship, pipeline and meeting information in the CRM
- Liaising with internal teams, including Direct Lending and Product Specialist, to coordinate prospect and client meetings

Providing a high level of client service and communication with SMA and other institutional clients
- Understanding reporting requirements / executing on deliverables in collaboration with the Product Specialist Team
- Coordinating quarterly and ad-hoc performance update meetings
- Working closely with internal teams, including Accounting, Operations and Investor Communications, to respond to SMA client inquiries
- Analytical analysis to support technical client due diligence requests
- Identifying industry trends and analyzing insurer’s portfolios and filings to identify trends and potential opportunities
- Monitor and communicate relevant research and changes on regulatory developments in the US, Bermuda, and the UK, statutory reporting and other changing methodologies
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of Golub Capital’s product offerings, systems and processes to support and service prospect and client relationships
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years of experience in a similar sales support capacity at an alternative or traditional asset management firm, investment bank or accounting firm
- Experience working within a CRM database; Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills
- Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently while demonstrating strong collaboration
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits
For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $115,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
