Job Purpose:
The University Ministry team supports Gonzaga University in fulfilling its Jesuit, Catholic, humanistic mission through campus ministry programming, pastoral and spiritual care, mission education, and formation for faith, spirituality, and leadership. Coordinator I is a campus minister who contributes to this work by implementing programming, engaging in student-focused relational ministry, and collaborating with the University Ministry team and other campus partners. The University Ministry team is looking to add a team member who brings experience and formation in youth and/or college ministry and a deep desire to engage in the work of campus ministry.
Essential Functions:
- 30% - Retreat and Small Group Program Management
- Implement retreat programming and small group programming.
- Manage programming budget.
- Ability to facilitate faith-based small group conversations.
- Ability to lead events off-site at approved retreat locations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate with participants and engage in program assessment.
- Ensure University risk management policies are implemented in programming. - (Essential)
- 30% - Spiritual Mentoring, Accompaniment, Direction -
- Maintain an understanding of basic theological tenets of Christianity and the spectrum of denominational differences, especially familiarity with Catholicism and the range of expressions of the Catholic faith.

- Ability to articulate personal experience and expression of faith.
- Nurture strong interpersonal skills and cultivate practice of listening.

- 20% - Faith and Spiritual Development Program Management -
- Implement faith and spirituality-based programming.
- Collaborate with campus partners to implement spiritual development opportunities.

- Engage the diverse spiritual and religious landscape of the Gonzaga University community to develop relevant programming. - (Essential)
- 10% - Prayer and Worship Experiences -
- Develop skills and knowledge to utilize Ignatian Spirituality in prayer and worship experiences across campus.
- Lead student-focused prayer and worship experiences for the department and the broader university community.
