Job Purpose:
Identify, analyze, design, and implement systems, programs, and modules for the improvement and on-going maintenance of the institution’s Human Resources Information Systems and databases.
Essential Functions:
- 35% - System Administration & Support
- Provide HR systems support by researching and resolving system issues, unexpected results, or process flaws.
- Act as a technical point of contact and assist subject matter experts with troubleshooting.
- Manage and troubleshoot system integration files related to system maintenance and updates to the primary system of record.
- Participate in HR and University-wide projects, as well as continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver ongoing support and training to HR staff and system end-users to ensure optimal use of HRIS functionality. - (Essential)
- 30% - Reporting & Analytics
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports using HRIS data to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit mandated reports such as IPEDS, Affirmative Action, and Veterans reporting, as well as fulfill ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders. - (Essential)
- 25% - Process Optimization and Automation
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within HR functions. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements and streamline workflows that improve efficiency and effectiveness across HR operations. - (Essential)
- 10% - HRIS Data Management
- Administer the HRIS system to maintain data accuracy, execute system updates, and manage user access.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all HR data, including employee records, organizational hierarchies, and payroll-related information. - (Essential)

Educational Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Years of Related Experience Requirement:
3 years
In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.
Certifications and/or Licensures:
Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms, databases, and software applications such as Workday, Banner, Oracle, HCM, PeopleSoft and other similar systems.
- Knowledge of HRIS configuration, report writing, data analysis and query building using HRIS reporting tools, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
- Proficiency with Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.)
- Understanding of Databases, data structures, and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communications skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience managing or participating in HRIS projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience querying from databases including Oracle and MS SQL. Experience querying in and building visualizations using PowerBI.
- Understanding of core HR processes
- Experience with system implementations, upgrades and integrations Experience with data analytics and developing custom reports or dashboards
