Marketing Manager

Position: Meriam Park Community Marketing Manager

Status: Full-time, exempt

Location: Chico, CA. This is an in-person position.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic individual to create content and strengthen our social media presence to boost customer engagement as well as support the Meriam Park brand with appropriate printed materials. You must have some graphics background and be able to convey an understanding of community building and have relative experience to social engagement, event planning, or something similar. Our product is not consumable, we sell a lifestyle and community. This role requires strong execution of social media strategy and content creation but also the development and planning of supporting marketing materials & events. With so many marketing identities involved, it is critical to identify and adapt consistent branding styling across all entities for cohesive messaging. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and creative, possess exceptional project management skills, work independently, and have a keen sense of urgency. This exciting role will provide marketing and support for the following entities:

o Meriam Park (community, housing, events, etc)

o The Barn at Meriam Park

o Daycamp Coffee

o Tio’s Pizza

o Nama Sake Sushi & Restaurant

o Barber Yard (upcoming development project)

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (included, but are not limited to the following):

• Strengthen & manage social media platforms for MP Events (the Barn), Meriam Park (GDC) and Daycamp including content creation, posting and messaging. Soon to include Barber Yard. Collaborate in creating content & assist in providing marketing direction for Nama & Tio’s accounts.
• Design and develop fliers, signage, invites and associated marketing materials for both promotional events and permanent usage.
• Update website, continued management as needed (with appropriate training). This includes but is not limited to updating maps, leasing and other info as requested. Update and edit event pages and calendar on a continual basis.
• Respond swiftly to reviews/comments on various platforms.
• Use your knowledge of the community & brand awareness to strengthen the presence and positive image of Meriam Park & other entities through strategized marketing efforts in print and digital means.
• Increase engagement of the MP residential community through the creation of print media, eblasts, personal invites and organization of special events.
• Support The Barn and Restaurants in establishing their brand identity, by identifying opportunities and then putting plans in place to execute them.
• Provide support in event planning and execution.
• Stay updated on market trends in relevant industries and competitor activities
• Demonstrate excellent work ethic, time and resource management; and willingness to "do what it takes" to meet deadlines when necessary.
• Update website as needed (with appropriate training)
• Provide exceptional customer service and support for all our divisions.
• Practice effective and positive communication amongst teams

Required Knowledge & Skills

· Proven experience in marketing and event planning

· Graphic design and photography experience necessary and some web skills a big plus.

· Proficient in social media management and digital marketing tools

· Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent organizational and time management abilities

· Proven track record of meeting deadlines and completing projects on time.

· Meticulous approach to managing schedules, deliverables, and project timelines.

· Ability to use project management software is a plus, to track project progress.

· Ability to handle multiple project timelines simultaneously.

Compensation:

• $70-$84K for Exempt 40-50 hours week on-site.
• 2 weeks vacation and 1 week sick
