Department Manager
The Department manager position, using discretion and independent judgment, is responsible for coordinating the delivery of quality of client cases. This position requires skill in planning; organizing case flows and oversees the rest of the department team member’s performance. This position applies advanced client case skills in maintaining records, preparing reports and maintaining effective working relationships with others. This position combines the activities of direct and indirect care for client cases and managing the department workflow with others.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance evaluation, management and training of the employees within that department.
Essential Functions
- Participates in the assessment, evaluation and planning of client cases and revising as necessary within the department.
- Ensures documents are accurate and submitted on a timely matter, such as deadlines, etc.
- Identifies and communicates significant information with team members, departments, including office manager.
- Implementing procedure with an understanding of the legal implications.
- Maintains a healthy working relationship with all members of the department team.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness, correctness and timely completion of client cases.
- Reviews all daily logs and monitors accuracy of documentation.
- Ensures that any changes to work criteria are communicated and implemented as needed.
- Serves as client and team advocate, assessing help and ensuring that quality help is given.
- Communicates the client case/department’s plan with the attorneys.
- Ensures that records/documentation and daily logs are always recorded in its appropriate location.
- Coordinates team efforts preceding and after any disaster or situation that causes interruption of work.
- Ensures that equipment used by the team is well maintained, used appropriately.
- Preserves human dignity and the confidentiality of each client case.
- Performs supervisory visits to workstations as needed.
- Collaborates and communicates with other department’s manager.
- Conduct meetings and provide appropriate trainings for new and current members.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
