Custodian/Bus Driver

Job Summary

A school bus driver is responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safe driving practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain order among students on the bus.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a school bus safely and efficiently.
• Maintain order among students on a school bus.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Recognize malfunctions in equipment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of bus driver training school provided by the California Highway Patrol or the District.
• Driving experience either paid or unpaid.
• An appropriate Class B California operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• A school bus drivers certificate issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• A valid medical certificate.
• A Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate.

Working Environment:
