SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for achieving commercial success in purchasing activities in order to meet project and company objectives. Review cost and bundling opportunities to realize purchasing efficiency. Create sourcing options via research, vendor negotiations, and analysis of vendor sources, market conditions, spend history, and future plans. Also, build supplier relationship that maximize value and mitigate risk, while ensuring business team requirements are met.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES :
- Coordinate and execute the sourcing process for all purchases
- Drive cost savings and consistently identify the best value source for items within the vendor base
- Follow and execute purchasing guidelines, policies, and procedures including vendor follow up and nonconforming product issue resolution
- Negotiate and resolve supplier recovery and claim efforts related to contract breaches
- Support the established procurement strategies and continual drive efforts to streamline purchasing activities
- Ensure project related purchases are effectively negotiated and develop / maintain good supplier relationships
- Contribute to the success of key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets for the Purchasing department
- All other purchasing related duties as assigned including but not limited to procurement of control panel, commercial components, spot buy materials, and subsystems
