Job Summary
The General Manager builds and supervises a team that achieves Little Caesars goals of customer satisfaction, sales and profitability, and operates the restaurant according to company standards and procedures. General Managers receive direction and training from the District Manager.
As a Little Ceasars General Manager, You Will
Team Building & Leadership
- Motivate, direct, and coach colleagues to work proficiently at their assigned stations
- Responsible for the general supervision of all employees assigned to the location
- Follow-up to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner, according to Little Caesars procedures and standards of excellence
- Work to continuously improve the skills, knowledge, and morale of all employees
- Treat the employees with dignity and respect. Create and foster an environment where the employees do the same
- Ensure the restaurant is prepared to meet the needs of customers
- Make sure all employees achieve high customer satisfaction
- Work diligently to ensure each customer is satisfied with the service and products they receive
- Be responsible for evaluating an employees performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations. This may include making tough decisions regarding all performance related issues in the restaurant, confronting poor performance, and handles all terminations.
Restaurant Operations
- Troubleshoot operational problems and find acceptable solutions
- Ensure company safety standards are followed and promoted
- Prioritize food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements, to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees
- Ensure all employees obtain and maintain a Food Handlers/Food Safety Certification
- Make certain store environment is customer friendly, clean, and inviting
- Train all employees on customer service, cash handling, product movement, cleaning procedures
- Understand and is proficient in all tasks and responsibilities of Crew Members and Shift leaders
- Be compliant and willing to work alongside employees
Business Management
- Be responsible for building sales and controlling costs by using all cost-control tools and processes
- Ensure the goals of food, paper, labor, and profitability are achieved for the location
- Make sure all registers close and balance accurately and that deposits make it to the bank
- Oversee inventory management processes including stocking items, inventory counts, and space utilization
- Check for expired product and remove from distribution
- Maximize financial performance and profit and clearly understand the restaurant level P&L
- Enforce all federal, state, and local labor laws
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
- Basic computer functions (MS word, excel)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to learn company systems and processes
- Adheres to the companys values and ethical expectations
- Exceptional multitasker
- Strong customer service focus
- High integrity and ethics and trustworthy in cash management
- Basic math skills for accurate auditing of inventory, managing cash deposits, scheduling, etc
Preferred
- One or more years experience in food service operations or a related field.
- Three to five years management or leadership experience
- Experience with point of sale and time collection systems.
Work Environment
- May work in hot and cold environments
Physical Demands
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to move freely around work location (internal and external).
- Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, and stoop.
- Able to push or pull equipment and items.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to move about store setting to complete responsibilities.
- Frequent use of phone, computer, store, and office equipment.
