What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Clerk position at Good Day Farm?
The Inventory Control Clerk is a member of the supply chain/inventory control team and is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing finished good packaging material to and from departments.
- Receive and store finished good packaging material in a clean and orderly manner.
- Deliver packaging material to workstations and secondary storage points throughout the packaging areas.
- Pull and stage packaging material by job(s) with an extremely high degree of accuracy.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts on finished good packaging material with analysis and completed reconciliation.
- Utilize MHE (material handling equipment) safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular physical counts accurately.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Must follow all compliance procedures mandated by the state licensing requirement.
- Responsible for executing assigned tasks, projects, and expectations in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
- Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Maintain a professional attitude towards coworkers and management.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Comfortable learning and using new software
- Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally.
- Capable of working without supervision
- Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOP’s for specialized areas
- Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Ability to stay focused
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of inventory experience
- Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
- The ability to work in low light situations
- Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
- Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
