The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the daily preparation of food and supervises staff in a manufacturing kitchen producing marijuana-infused edible products. This role supports the Kitchen Manager with training, product launches, and managing new projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a leader for employees by exhibiting sound decision making while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • Leads overall daily edible preparation, ensuring preparation meets established standard operating procedures.
  • Performs daily checks to ensure the quality of the kitchen set up.
  • Maintains the budgeted edible cost by adhering to recipe standards and maintaining correct inventory levels.
  • Works all stations to assist the cooks when busy or to provide breaks.
  • Prepares prep lists and production logs.
  • Understands local sanitation, health code laws, and the required weights and measures.
  • Maintains and verifies all required logbooks and temperature logs.
  • Calibrate pH meters, thermometers, and scales as needed.
  • Trains existing, new and future employees at all facilities, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
  • Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally.
  • Must perform under high pressure situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high stress situations.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to stay focused.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Reliable transportation

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Education or GED graduate
  • 2 years' experience in a regulated field that adheres to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Advanced computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
  • The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
  • The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions.
  • The ability to work in low light situations.
  • Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity.
  • Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals.
