As a Packaging Lead you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our team and production processes. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and hands-on experience in the cannabis industry. You will be responsible for executing various tasks, while adhering to strict compliance regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for your team. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to producing top-quality cannabis products, and you will be expected to lead by example and build a culture of respect and discipline among your peers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Packaging Operations:
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards and safety protocols throughout all packaging processes. Report any deviations to supervisors and manager.
- Conduct tests and monitor production capacities, direct processes to meet production goals.?
- Coordinate the flow of products through the system and the tasks of assembly line workers.?
- Quality Control:
- Monitor for optimal quality of cannabis products, raw materials, and addressing any deviations from set standards.
- Data Collection:
- Audit paper logs to ensure they are being filled out. Alert supervisors to any missing information in a timely manner.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with leadership to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Participate in the implementation of process enhancements to optimize packaging operations.
- Training and Development:
- Provide guidance and training to Technicians I and II, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
- Share best practices and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Address any operational challenges, technical issues, or equipment malfunctions that may arise during packaging operations.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Health and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among the team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
- At least 1 year of experience in the cannabis industry, preferred focus on packaging processing techniques.
- Strong understanding of cannabis cultivation, manufacturing and packaging procedures.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control and compliance with regulations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to train and coach team members effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capability to lead by example in fostering a positive work culture.
- Positive attitude and ability to communicate quickly and efficiently.
- Proficient use of calendar and information sharing apps such as Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, etc.?
- Must be at least 21 years of age (as per legal requirements).
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation.
