What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Harvest Supervisor position at Good Day Farm?
The post-harvest supervisor provides leadership and hands-on support to the post-harvest team across processes in the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates with the PH manager about production plans, schedules, and daily tasks for all teams.
- Communicates day-to-day operations with the team to ensure they are staying on task.
- Organizes preparations for all projects the workday before the project begins.
- Monitors timekeeping software for the team, corrects timecards, and certifies all employee’s timecards reflect accurately.
- Ensures projects are completed on time, following the SOP, and up to company standards.
- Trains employees regarding procedures, policies, and expectations
- Confirms that all data is filled out correctly and accurately.
- Assures project compliance.
- Makes certain that company policies are followed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Delegates tasks to employees to help with flow and quotas.
- Report any problems, accidents, and close calls to the post-harvest manager.
- Aids with procurement of inventory and supplies
- Supports the post-harvest manager as needed.
- Manages employee’s attendance, performance, and adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provides coaching, support and corrective action as needed.
- Trains staff members regularly.
- Conducts employee reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
- Must be able to communicate with the GDF Team effectively and professionally.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent leadership ability, and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations.
- Available to work on weekends and holidays, as necessary.
- Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
